This is Checkers Registration for ROUND 10 of the 2023/2024 SCTA Championship Series
*Checkers who participate as riders in the Championship Series, earn WINNING POINTS (30 pts) towards the series IF they are SCTA members ($40/season).

Requirements:
1. Knowledge of scoring rules
2.Know your authority! (Checker is THE BOSS of her/his section! It stems from your knowledge of the rules. If a rider has an issue with your scoring, DON’T ARGUE WITH THEM. Score them as per your observation and refer them to the HQ.)
3. Bring your own lunch, please!
(SCTA apologizes, at this time we don’t have anyone willing to take charge of Checkers lunches. Based on our past seasons/events, we’ve found that as our world of dietary restrictions/preferences/expectations evolves, it became impossible to meet our Checkers needs. This led to a food waste, both food & beverages/water. Wasting money is one thing, wasting food & water resources is a whole another.)
4. Clothing & Sun Screen! A wide-brim sun hat, long pants, long sleeve T-Shirt, hiking shoes and 45 UV sunscreen is a must. You will be in the sun for at least 6 hours. Hiking the loop, depending on your section it could be up to a mile+. You will be provided a backpack with First Aid kit, a puncher and basic supplies to fix your section in case of a damage. A Course Marshal will go thru your section number of times per event, checking on things.
5. Have FUN! Checking/observing is one of the best ways to meet ALL riders, observe their riding style, to learn a thing or two for your own riding, to give and be part of the community and the sport of trials.
