Thank you plonkers. May I have another?

Well THAT was fun. A typically beautiful blue-sky day at our High Desert season opener of the 2019/2020 trials championship season. A few (or more) gusty winds kept everyone on their best balancing act, while the usual rocks, sand and slab did their part in gathering dabs. I was out checking Section 9- a great desert vista, with two main obstacles. For the experts, a HUGE boulder with no proper run up. And for everyone else, a soft, always decomposing climb, which changed in character all day long. Smiles were everywhere, and the members of SCTA were to a person, ready to rumble.

Saturday the riders went forth on the Adventure Ride, along the heralded National Loop. Myself took the easy way, but just so I could watch these guys on the final ascent. Really quite a spectacular sight.

Brad Hannon leads Krys Slusarczyk and Reid Davis along the last 200 feet of the ascent to the plaques.

Mr. Alex Nielsen, hitting the sizable obstacle with some serious passion!

Me? I’m already marking the days to our next event, at Motoventures, later this month. More on that, later, my friends.
