When you least expect it, well you know. The SCTA's first trial at Lucerne Valley of 2012 had some very unexpected fans. Wait for it...
The BLM! No kidding- The Good ol' United States Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management likes us. So much so, that they have us featured in THEIR on-line newsletter, complete with pictures! (Click to read)
How cool (and even ironic?) is that? Through the hard and persistent work of the Plonkers' Charlie Rowlett, the BLM not only issued all the event permits for the Plonker's trial, but they stuck around to watch, spectate, and be impressed by all the spectacular riding. It is just really great to report how well our sport was received and supported. Heck, just for kicks, I liked them back, on Facebook.
Big shout out to Rusty Gates, outdoor recreation planner, of the BLM Barstow Field Office, and Mike Trost, Operations Specialist with the California District Office.
One more thing. The web crew was out riding today and we got a few fun shots. Hope you like 'em.
